hit it! this new campaign for stylestalker is amazing.

giorgia, love her personal style. those glasses! those boots!

I’ve been doing some pre-spring shopping lately and have made note of all the bright colors of pants cropping up everywhere (especially j.crew, which makes me both happy and sad. happy because the colors are so gleeful, sad because this now means the trend is an official fad, therefore it’s on it’s way to being o-v-e-r). Over? but we’ve barely even started.
Last summer I searched high and low, far and wide, in little dark italian alleys, over cobblestones of paris and aix, all for the sake of finding one perfect coral pink colored pant. Too red. Too baggy. Too tight. Too orangey. Take a break. Eat a Donut. Too pink. Too short. By the end of my travels I even had my partners eyes trained to see the color in a crowd. It became clear this would not be easy. It was a full fledged operation. My partner would zone in on passers by and I would pounce “where did you get your pant?” Finally, success! At 35 euro, a perfect pair of coral colored pants. Not jeans, just a great cotton fitted, not too pink, not too orangey, juuussst right.
However. There are a few ways to wear color on your legs and a few ways to NEVER wear color on your legs. Most importantly, the pastels. Pastel colors are not easy for anyone to wear on the bottom half of your body. Wearing them as a jean? Even worse. I tried it. My legs looked like loin chops. Stick with the deep colors if you want to go really skinny with a jean. Purple. Electric Blue. Deep Red. Emerald Green.

This spring and summer I will be wrapping my legs up in minty greens. I’ll be posting some alternative combinations to the look above (i love it, if you lived in SoCal or Miami… not so much in SF). Have fun coloring your world!

Talk about the ultimate collaboration of high and lo. If you can’t afford a Hermes scarf you can always choose a favorite print from this new collection for more then half the price. obviously the native american print is my favorite.
