for 3 days i took my son to the beach. he is used to wearing a wet suit, jumping in freezing cold water, and dealing with enormous (to him) waves. today i took my boy to the beach and he begged to surf. finally i said “ok”, worried about the let down he might feel, at his age, just 6, swimming well but still learning. he got pushed into the first, stood up, all the way in. 2nd, the same. 3rd the same. and on and on. i can’t really believe it. tomorrow„ encore.
